JEE Main 2023 Reservation Criteria

 OBCs – 27%

·         SC – 15%

·         ST – 7.5%

·         According to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, 5% of all seats in all colleges are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

·         Telangana provides three different state quotas including Home State Quota, Andhra Pradesh State Quota, and Other State Quota

·         In all the institutes taking part in the seat allocation process through JEE Main 2023, 5% of total seats are reserved for female candidates.

·         50% of seats in NITs are under Home State Quota and the other 50% fall under the Other State Quota.

·         If any Home State Quota seats are left vacant, they are converted to All India Seats for the same category.

JEE Main Academic Qualifications

·         You should have cleared or appeared in a 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2020 or 2021. If you are appearing for your class 12 exams in 2023, you can apply for JEE Main 2023.

·         Your 10+2 subjects will depend on the papers you are opting for.

·         You need to get a qualifying aggregate in your qualifying exam. The qualifying aggregate for different categories is given below:

JEE Main 2023 Application Form

The candidates can visit NTA’s official website – nta.ac.in or jeemain.nta.nic.in – to check and fill the JEE Main 2023 application form. The candidates need to fill and submit the application form online. There is no provision for offline submission of the JEE Main 2023 application form. NTA will not accept any forms that are not submitted online. You will be able to see an ‘Apply Online’ link on the official website which will lead you to the application form. Fill it and submit the fee. 

JEE Main 2023: Step-By-Step Process to Fill JEE Main 2023 Online Application Form

Here are the steps you need to follow to fill out the JEE Main 2023 application form:

·         Visit the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in – for applying for the JEE Main 2023.

·         Click on ‘Apply Online’.

·         An application form page will open up.

·         Fill up this application form.

·         When prompted, select New Registration. You may be asked some basic details such as your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, category, nationality, academic details, and your exam center preference.

·         Once registered, you will be asked to upload a scanned copy of your documents in a specific format and size. Make sure you stick to the document specifications to avoid rejection of your application.

·         Pay the application fee through online or offline mode.

·         Check all the information you have entered in the application form. You may not be able to change some of these details later.

·         Submit your application form.

·         Once submitted, you will see a confirmation page. Take a print of this page for reference purposes.

·         Upon the completion of this process, you will receive a provisional registration number on your registered mobile number and email address.

JEE Main 2023- List of Documents Required for Application Form

Here’s a list of documents you will need to upload when filling out the JEE Main 2023 application form:

  • Age Proof: Birth certificate

It is important to note that once you have submitted your JEE Main 2023 application form, you cannot edit some details. This is why candidates are advised to go through the details they enter in the application form very carefully.

JEE Main 2023 Admit Card

JEE Main 2023 admit card will be released by the authorities. Candidates can visit the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in to download the hall tickets. Candidates are first issued a provisional JEE Main 2023 admit card. It will only be considered valid if all the eligibility criteria are met.  Some of the important details that will be mentioned on the admit card are:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Father’s name
  • Roll number
  • Category
  • Date of examination
  • Exam Centre venue
  • Reporting time
  • Exam Duration
  • Photograph

As soon as you download JEE Main admit cards, you should make sure that all these details are correct. In case of any discrepancy, you should contact JEE Main’s helpline immediately.

On the day of the exam, you need to present your JEE Main 2023 admit card to the exam coordinators and invigilators, failing which you will not be allowed to appear in the exam. You should keep the admit card safe even after the exam, as you will need to carry it to the counselling rounds as well. Experts suggest that you should keep your admit card safe until you finally get admission to an institute.

Here are a few points to note regarding JEE Main 2023 admit cards:

  • You can download admit cards online mode only.
  • NTA does not issue duplicate admit cards at the exam centre.
  • Pay attention to the guidelines to affix a postcard size photograph on the admit card.
  • In case of any discrepancy, you can contact the official authorities at NTA.

As there are multiple security checks involved on the day of the exam, be sure to reach the venue well ahead of the entry time. Also, note that only candidates with valid admit cards are allowed to enter the examination centre.
