Registration in NMC to Become Doctor
NEW DELHI: MBBS degree graduates won’t be able to practice if The (MCI) Medical Council of India gets replaced by the (NMC) National Medical Commission. MBBS degree graduates will not be allowed to practice in India since they will not be eligible to register to get a license for practicing.
They would need to appear for an exam to get a license to practice medicine in India. MBBS doctors will get the approval only if they clear the exam. Supporters of the Medical Association and Medical Council of India are fighting against the proposed bill. They claimed that if National Medical Commission NMC becomes the legal body of medicine, it will be hard to reduce corruption.

Krishan Kumar Aggarwal, a Consultant Cardiologist, President of the Heart Care Foundation of India, and the Honorary Secretary-General of the Medical Council of India, guaranteed that the system would not get the expected results.
